Job Description
The Director of Technology (“The Director”) will provide innovative leadership over the direction, coordination, implementation, and support of a 21st century digital learning environment at YULA Boys High School. The Director is responsible for the management,  strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure for YULA Boys High School and work collaboratively with their counterpart at the Girls Division. The Director will work closely with the administration to strategically procure and integrate leading technology in the classroom as well as provide or facilitate world-class professional development opportunities for the faculty,  among other responsibilities listed below. The Director will oversee the Panther Sports Network  (PSN) and technology needs for special events i.e., Open House, Graduation, Jewish holidays,  etc.
This position reports to the General Studies Principal and the Chief Operating Officer. This is a salaried, exempt, full-time, and 12-month Administrator position. The workday begins at 8:00  AM and the Director is expected to be on campus during school hours. Some evening and weekend events are required of administrators, (e.g.) Open House, Back to School Night,  Trustee Event, etc.

1. Oversee and implement all areas of the school that relate to technology: security,  information services, audio-visual, internet, website, etc.
2. Develop and regularly update a strategic Technology Plan that integrates the school’s  mission, goals, and programs
3. Develop and regularly update an Acceptable-Use-Policy for students and faculty
4. Maintain viable Network, Servers, and other communication infrastructure
5. Prepare and manage the IT Budget under the initial direction of the Business Office
6. Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventory, and proper disposal of school-owned  hardware and software
7. Provide technical support to students, faculty, staff, and parents as needed or facilitate that support through another Helpdesk technician if available.
8. Set up and roll out laptops to new students and faculty, and provide appropriate training workshops for each group.
9. Work with the Administration to develop a plan to assess faculty uses of technology and create action plans for more robust integration.
10. Collaborate with the STEAM program to provide and maintain a technology environment that advances student knowledge and opportunities.
11. Offer regular professional development opportunities for faculty & staff
12. Attend and recommend professional development conferences to stay ahead of the  curve in an ever-changing profession
13. Maintain data systems for communications and record keeping and provide training to  the appropriate positions for which use of those systems is required
14. Maintain the school’s website and train the appropriate roles on facilitation of regular  updates
15. Support the school and its leadership by always serving as a positive ambassador and role model for YULA Boys both on and off campus.
16. Other duties as assigned by Head of School

1. 2+ Years of experience in technology management
2. Must have mastery of Network support, Audio Visual setup and event presentations, and addressing Helpdesk requests
3. Familiarity with SIS and LMS programs desired
4. Must have experience with Google Suite management
5. Bachelor’s Degree required

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000, plus benefits
