Job Opening: Logistics Administrator

Location: Riverside, CA

Schedule: 8 AM-4 PM Monday- Friday

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Review transit times, and evaluate LTL carriers based on service, rates and lane coverage.
  2. Booking freight with common carriers and while sourcing best rates.
  3. Troubleshoot all happenings from booking to cargo delivery within a timely manner.
  4. Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles; assess routing alternatives and common carrier performance.
  5. Daily communication with warehouse, brokers, and carriers (e-mail, phone).
  6. Maintain a daily cargo tracking report and submit it to the customer when requested.
  7. Assigns loads to warehouse workers for pick and pack.
  8. Provide freight quotes to the sales team as requested.
  9. Review and negotiate rates with carriers based on current market rates
  10. Other administrative tasks as needed.

 

Requirements:

  1. Familiar with Common Carriers
  2. Recent experience with OTR shipments for FTL & LTL moves.
  3. Able to multi-task
  4. Self motivated, able to meet deadlines and support the logistics team when necessary
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel desired
  6. Bilingual Spanish desired.
  7. Experience using carriers TMS systems and 3rd party customers TMS desired.

 

Compensation: $25-$28 per hour plus 10 days PTO, legal holidays, 401K plus 3% after 1 year, $350 per month towards health/dental
