Job Opening: Operations Manager

Location:  Valencia, CA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts

Duties:

  1. Direct and manage the day-to-day activities of Jaco’s operations.
  2. Implement company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  3. Evaluate and enhance current operational processes, procedures, and systems.
  4. Monitor actual results against operational goals and develop reporting to analyze operational effectiveness.
  5. Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
  6. Capable of resolving escalated issues customer or vendor issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  7. Responsible for effective record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required.
  8. Able to read, understand and review legal documents, customer specifications, quality clauses and quality requirements.
  9. Responsible for overseeing management of other departments to improve process, performance, and efficiency to achieve business goals.
  10. Responsible for conducting performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
  11. Responsible for maintenance, and continuous improvement training of Jaco’s AS9120 Quality Management System.
  12. Work with outside contractors and consultants to assist with management of ongoing initiatives such as Salesforce Development, Data Management and or inventory logistics specialists etc.
  13. Teach, coach, and demonstrate work activities for team members.
  14. Accountable for ensuring that all team members receive required instruction in safety procedures, and Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  15. Ability to recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work and oversee the development of staff competence. Manage employee morale and improve retention.

Requirements:

  1. Preferred: 1+ year experience with a distributor that is certified (registered) to a QMS.
  2. Preferred: Familiarity with Aerospace sourcing and distribution.
  3. Aerospace, Space or Aviation industry experience and knowledge.
  4. 1+ year experience formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  5. Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
  7. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  8. 1+ year experience using (reading and understanding) AS9120 and/or AS9100
  9. At least one year of experience implementing and executing new and/or revised QMS documents.
  10. 1+ year experience in root cause analysis completing, implementing, and executing corrective actions.
  11. Possess advanced computer skills and experience with software such as Salesforce, Excel and other platforms.
  12. Enjoy working in a team environment and collaborating with peers.

Compensation: $120,000-$150,000 plus excellent benefits.
