Job Opening: Social Worker or Case Manager to Assist with Poverty & Housing for the Jewish community in Los Angeles

Location:  Los Angeles, CA (REMOTE)

Duties:
1. Meet with people via phone or in person if necessary, and determines their needs and possible solutions.
2.  Connect people with home or community-based housing and supportive services.
3.  Assist with obtaining community support, identifying resources, and handling the paperwork to start the process of getting assistance.
4.  Develop a database of relevant support organizations.
5.  Communicating regularly with people that the organization supports to ensure their needs are being met.

Requirements:
1.  Knowledge of local organizations to support poverty and housing.
2.  Strong organization and communication skills.
3.  Empathy and patience.
4.  Knowledge and experience with government, city, and county programs.

Compensation: $60,000-$70,000
