Job Opening: Day Program Manager

Schedule: Full Time
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90036

Summary: The Day Program Manager is responsible for the overall operational and strategic direction, development,  implementation, and quality assurance processes of ETTA’s community-based Day Programs. The program manager has ultimate  responsibility for the successful operations and growth of the Day Programs. The program manager supervises the Day Program  staff and ensures the smooth and efficient running of the program. The program manager is continually developing new program  content and revising and updating existing programs.

Responsibilities:
1. Directs and supervises all aspects of the Day Programs.
2. The Program Manager monitors the effectiveness of Day Program through quality assurance procedures and develops new program concepts or updates current content to satisfy client needs.
3. Provide direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, assigning duties and responsibilities as appropriate.
4. Monitors program content to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and regional center standards and guidelines.
5. Responsible for budget expenditures, client admission eligibility, discharge decisions of clients and development of both program policies and procedures
6. Liaise with ETTA administration and HR on decisions pertaining to termination of personnel, budget amendments, grants, proposals and services with outside agencies and organizations.
7. Responsible and accountable for the daily management and administration of the services to the clients.
8. Responsible for potential clients; including review of referral packets, assessing the client, and coordinating with consumer’s counselor at the regional center.
9. Responsible for implementing and monitoring each client’s IPP and services to the program design.
10. Maintain client records.
11. Provides in-service meetings/training in accordance with Title 17, Regional Center contracts, program design, and individual program plans and participates in training, including New Hire Orientation.
12. Notify of any special incident to the direct supervisor immediately.
13. Interface with clients and families in person meetings and as a representative for Day Programs at various public and private events
15. Work with Regional Centers and other governmental agencies and community partners
16. Ensure all staff are motivated, function as a team and are aware of growth and development opportunities.
17. Maintain adequate supplies, materials, food, and emergency equipment to meet program needs.
18. Prepare bi-weekly payroll reports.
19. Prepare Semi Annual and Quarterly Reports for the Regional Center.
20. Participates in all meetings and behavioral and skill training as required by program.
21. Provide direct service to clients; cover DSP when needed.
22. Ultimately responsible for the health and safety of all individuals in the program.
23. Ensure Title 17 regulations are in compliance.
24. Participate in Regional Center IPP meetings, family meetings and staff meetings.
25. Develop staff schedule and monitor compliance.
26. Report weekly to the Director or Assistant Director.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in related field.
2. A Minimum of 3 years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, childcare, and/or support staff providing direct services to individuals in any licensed agency or facility.
3. A minimum of 1 year experience in supervising, training and managing staff.
4. Strong problem-solving skills.
5. Strong and effective English communication skills both oral and written.
6. Must have knowledge and ability to support observant Jews within their community according to the clients level of practice.
7. Possess high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
8. Must be able to legally work in the United States.
9. Must be at least 21 years of age.
10. Must be able to pass a background screening through Live Scan.
11. Must have up to date CPR/First Aid certification.
12. Must meet the qualifications of a driver as established by our insurance carrier, proof of insurance coverage, received clearance through a DMV printout and have a dependable and reliable transportation.
13. Must have reliable transportation during the workday to allow for client and staff meetings in other locations other than the office.
14. Must be able to pass routine evaluations including drug screening.
15. Dress in a conservative and professional manner consistent with the culture of the company.
16. Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive matters.
17. Able to present oneself in an effective, persuasive, and professional manner during controversial or complex topics.
18. Able to complete the ETTA’s training programs and successfully pass associated tests to meet competency requirements.

Compensation: $66,560 – $70,000, DOE, including Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits as well as paid holidays and 401k.
